About Me

I am a contemporary printmaker working from my home studio in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I work primarily in relief and intaglio printmaking. As a medium, printmaking acts as a collaborator because its graphic and dramatic nature adds to the meaning and context of my work. It is often meditative and sometimes frustrating, but always satisfying to pull the first proof and to experience what that initial impression will communicate. My influences include Film Noir, comic book art, American printmakers, German Expressionism, jazz, and orchestral music. My recent work examines the erosion of modern society represented by the intersection of nature, industry, urban environments and technology...and an occasional cat in a spacesuit or cowboy hat.
